Who has a good method for moving small fish out of an aquarium with lots of live rock? Very difficult catching fish without injuring them

Bottle trap
Assume you are referring to a clear bottle placed at the bottom of the tank and a net to guide the fish in?
Best of luck,
Matt
Cut the top third off the bottle and wedge (no glue) it in backwards so a "funnel" is pointing in the bottle, then add food. Herding towards the bottle might also work, or lurking with a net at feeding time. This also works with shrimp, crabs, and snails. What are you trying to catch?
Yellow Coris Wrasse is outgrowing my 20g so it's time he move to the 72g tank. As you probably know, the little guy is so quick and often dives in to the sand bed. I also have 25lbs of live rock in the tank, which doesn't help things when trying to catch it. I will take your advice and try this.
Best of luck,
Matt
IMO...large water change. Otherwise very difficult.
Stupid people do stupid things...smart people outsmart each other.
