I just fully cycled a 100g reef tank with 100lbs live rock and 3in of live sand.
I got a peppermint and scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp 2 days ago and i really havent seen them eat.
the peppermint shrimp likes to move around and swim around the tank, literally. then he stops and hides in a cave.
the skunk cleaner shrimp has been sitting upside down, under a rock, not moving, and not eating anything. (i know he is alive, he cleans himself alot)
when i put frozen mysis shrimp (even in front of their faces) in the tank, both just sit and hide under rocks!
i just found out that my skunk cleaner shrimp molted, would that be a reason why it is so stationary?
but even after i found his exoskelton, i put food into the tank, he didnt eat.
I am pretty sure the peppermint shrimp scavenges but he doesnt eat directly from the food i put in the tank.
I also got 3green chromis and 2 purple? chromis and all five eat healthily.
It is just the shrimp that im worried about
(water levels are tested and perfect!)
OH and while im here asking experienced owners, would a double 120watt LED UV emitting light be good for my 100 gallon hard/soft coral reef tank? too much? or just right?
