did it snow in my tank?

OK, here's the deal, I just added some new live rock to my tank and it really stirred up my southdown. Now it has settled on most of the rock. My question is, how can i get this off without creating another storm so it won't happen again?

if it were me i'd just leave it be.....once you get your clean up crew and fish in there they will lightly brush it off in a matter of days i assure you. i had the same thing happen in my 20g reef but there isnt any sand on my lr any more since i got my shrimp and cin. clown. just let everything run its natural course try and play as little of a role as possible in your tanks success. this is jmo.

I use a turkey baster from Walmart. There's no way to get ALL of it off but it helps with the major coating of sand.

The turkey baster worked like a charm!! Thanks for your help, I never knew a $1 baster would turn out to be such a great tool.
