Question New Tank Fish suggestions???

Hey there folks. I usually just pop in every now and then to read, but I could use some tank stocking suggestions.

I have a 46 gal Bow front with a 10 gal refugium to be. I have had the tank up and running before for about 2 years, but through a move and then a repeated pattern (about 5 fish...) of new fish not surviving, I have not had any fish in the tank for about 2 or 3 months. I have cleaned the tank and changed out the water until it is running almost salt free right now (I plan to add the salt tonight). I plan on adding about 50 lbs of Fiji live rock to the main tank and having a calerupa refugium in the 10 gal. I have an Emporor 280 on the 46 gal and a Skilter 250 on the 10 gal.

Now...what to put in the tank???

I would like to get a small lionfish so that I could put some corals or an anenome and a clown in there. From what I know (and that ain't much...), the lion won't pick at the live rock or mess with the inverts. I would like to know your opinions on what you think of my starting idea and any other suggestions you may have. I am open to most, espescially since I don't plan to put any fish into the tank until I am 100% sure the water is perfect.

Thanks in advance for the ideas!

Jeff

Hey Jeff- I don't have much experience w/lions, but your clownfish could be a goner even with a small lion. Don't let small size fool you, lions have huge mouths. Also, better filtration would be necessary with the messy lionfish

You will have a problem with the lion. Lions grow pretty fast and would be big enough to eat your clown in a matter of 3-4 mounths and would out grow your 46 in six mounths unless you get a dwarf lion and they still get big enough to eat a clown.
