lazy dragon wrasse

We have had a dragon wrasse for some time now in our 29 gallon FO tank. He would often hid in the rock to rest but now he just lays out in the open on the sand. He has been dong this for several weeks. He still eats fine and swims around like normal but I am just concerned something may be wrong with him. He is one of my favorite fish and I don't want to lose him. Anyone have any suggestions or ever experienced similar behavior??

The tank has a dsb that the dragon wrasse digs in constantly. He has moved around more rocks and shells in the tank than we have.
