Juv. Imperator- when will it transform

Has anybody experience the transformation of a juv imperator to its adult stage in captivity? Does this occur in captivity? If so, what are the signs and how long does it take?
I was able to buy a juv about 4" long and I was wondering if at this size it is near the stage, although I know it is better to get an adult one but it's quite expensive

Hi,

There is really no set time for the change. I've had mine for almost a year and have had little change, except that the white has been replaced my yellow and the black mask is starting to come in.

He's totally healthy, 7" long, and a great eater. He also gets along with the huma and the powder brown in the tank (150g).
