can a puffer be in a reef?
just curiuos? im downing all my tank but my new huge tank. would like to know if my puffer can go into my reef system without harming to much?

They nip stuff in general. Tube worms, small crusteacens, baby snails, anything small and hard will end up getting munched most likely. After having one in my tank all of my yellow tube worms were eaten in probably 2 days.
Shouldn't hurt soft corals, I don't know about hard, they might nip the polyps on some hard corals. They may even nip the coral itself. Overall, not really reef friendly, but can be depending on your tolerance of what it eats and what you plan to keep in the tank. |

I agree with eses...I was going to add a dog faced puffer to my reef/fish tank, but was warned not to. They do nip away at the live rock. So we went with a minutus grouper instead.
