?about FOLR tank
29gal with dsb (9months old) seeded with 8lbs LS
app. 25lbs. rock, some live some not live yet. I won't be able to add fish for awhile do I need to do anything to the tank to keep it cycled and the sand/rock living? I hope to add 2 percula clowns in a couple months. Thanks |

Just introduce some organic matter ( some flake food or a small piece of raw shrimp, a cheeseburger
) now and again so that the bacteria have something to feed on . It wont take much though ,,,alittle will go along way in this case. This will keep your tanks bio-filter working.Something else you might try to do , if you have some fellow reefers in the area is to trade a cup of your sand for a cup of thiers. This will increase the diversity of everyones tank. Now would also be a good time to add some worms or pods , so they can establish with out any fish trying to eat them. |
