PO4 and fish

Will a reading of 1.00 of PO4 be to high to safely keep percula clowns?
I have been battling high phosphates(tap water) for sometime now. They were off the chart but with regular use of phosguard I've been able to get it to a steady 1.00. The algae is under control and red coralline is growing nicely. Ammonia reading is 0 and there are no detectible nitrates.

i wouldnt think it would harm the fish.

you could try an RO or deionizer filter to eliminate phosphate from the tap. not sure how much the phosguard is costing, i know that it has to be changed frequently or I think it will leak back into the water(?)

You may want to double check the RO units to see if they remove phosphate, for some reason i know they do not remove some of the elements that the DI filters do.

Thanks Triggers, I just found out the lfs is going out of business here and he's considering selling me his RO/DI unit. When I find out the brand and other info. I'll post and see if it's worth what he's asking. In the mean time I'm going to get some jugs of water from Walmart to do water changes and top offs. It shouldn't be to bad for a 29gal. The water is 58 cents a gallon.
Thanks for your help.

the water may or may not be better than your tap, depending on the source of the walmart water. often times the source ends up only being a carbon water filter.
