We have a pair of yellow watchmen, had them for about two years. They are always together under the same rock. The other day when we were doing a major cleaning of the tank I lifted their favorite rock and noticed something hanging off of it. It was a pale colored substance, kinda jello like with black looking dots in it. Could this be a bunch of eggs? The smaller watchmen was very protective of the cluster when I place the rock bach into position. Any thoughts? No I was not able to get a picture before anyone asks.

Could be eggs. You may want to place the piece of rock into a bare bottom tank with a sponge filter. Best thing you could do is look up in a book how long the incubation period is before they hatch. If they are anything like tomato clown eggs, they will hatch at night. Try to look up some information in a book if you have access. Chances are if they are left in the main tank they will be eaten shortly after hatching.

One other thing. Usually if the eggs have black dots in them it is the eyes developing.
