Looking for big fish that are not Angels or triggers
I'm looking for big fish that are not angels or triggers, size doesn't really matter, I'm taking Fishkids idea for a design for the tank err...i mean pond
Ideally captive bred......but as I firgured it out to be about 735gallons for a 7'X7'X2' i think most fish will be semi happy, but as I'm starting to rebel against the government and crap like that....eh might as well get fish that some idiot would probli put in a 55g tank or something I think I'm atleast going with 2 bamboo sharks, maybe more, i haven't figured out if I want to make this a community or species tank. I was thinking about some tangs, some lions, some sharks, and finally a grouper and an eel |

i think the only fish that you could get captive bred would to buy a couple of shark eggs.
groupers could potentialy grow extremely large, emperor snappers grow to 3' in the wild cowfish also grow to almost 2' stars and strips puffer, very large

I am partial to Naso Tangs, as I have one. They are very doscile as well if you decide to make it a community later on.

Yeah baby!!!! Puffers all the way!!!!
Love those things. Question what is a Dragon puffer? I'm on a handful of puffer boards and such and don't think I have ever heard of that. |

yeah, yeah, yeah on the tusk!
Sohol tangs get big in nature (18 inches or so) and are BEAUTIFUL... (and not as nasty as the clown/lineatus). Also very active and great looking in the tank as they go zipping around... Coral king -- how long have you had the sweetlips? Everything I read about them says they die in like 3 mos if you don't gut-load their food w vitamins, etc Puffers are so cool -- dogface, dalmation, any of them -- tons of personality, too. You could have a school of lions in a tank that big -- I like the radiatas the best -- really cool coloring. You could do a mix though -- antennata, radiata and a volitan, or a fuzzy dwarf thrown in for kicks... . ![]() |
