Couple of pics

Haven't been here in awhile. Thought I'd post a couple pics of my new 120 and it's inhabitants. Tank is home to a blue face angel, black back butterfly, lineatus fairy wrasse, a purple firefish, six line wrasse, serpent star, and assorted crabs, shrimps and snails. Hope you enjoy . They're kind of dark. It was a borrowed digital camera and I'm rather technologically challenged so here goes.
Full tank shot;

lineatus fairy wrasse. Stunning fish from the Great Barrier Reef. Pics don't begin to do it justice.

angel and butterfly; The bf is half the size of the angel but they have a spunky disposition, and he takes no crap from the blue face.

COOL!

You have some of my FAVORITE fishes! Where did you get your linneatus wrasse -- LFS or internet? And where in PA are you if you did get it locally? (I've been thinking about one of them for awhile...)

I also REALLY like your rockscape -- looks like you have some branch and some bigger "boulder"pieces. How did you put the "structure" together? I did mine w electrician's ties, but yours looks better!

I purchased the lineatus through my lfs. I live in Erie and the store is Sea Cave. He got three of them in when I bought mine. One died, one went into his 140 gal. dsplay tank in his office, and I got the other. He also has another one in a 220 gal. store display. Very nice fish with a bold disposition and a great appetite for almost everything.
The rock is simply stacked. Lots of odd shaped pieces so interlocking them was easy. I have 4 large pieces in excess of 15 lbs each along the bottom, and the rest is stacked on those to form the arches, etc. Fish seem to like it. Thanks for the reply.

Blue Face

Did you have any feeding problems with the Blue Face when first put into the tank? Were there anyother fish in the tank before the Blue Face? Does it seem to eat readily?

Actually, the blue face has been a champion eater from day one. He essentially had a tank to himself for the better part of 6 months, until this system was ready. He readily eats mysis shrimp, chopped mussel, clam, brine, marine cuisine, plankton, sponge formulas, emerald entree, blood worms, etc. Also gets nori a few times a week which he will eat from my hand. The angel was the second to last fish in the tank. (I just added a pair of ocellaris clowns this morning). Big angels need to be the last fish in IMO. They don't readily welcome new tankmates once established, and even get pissy with fish that have been there for awhile. I had the butterfly, linetaus, six line and purple firefish in before the angel. He doesn't really mess with the smaller ones, but will sometimes bully the butterfly and the wrasse. Other times he just lets them swim past him w/o incident. I'm watching him with the clowns, but so far he just seems curious and has not bothered them.
Like any fish, making sure they are eating prior to purchase is essential, and not just brine shrimp. I observed this guy for a couple weeks in the lfs and saw him take a variety of foods before I bought him. He gets more of a variety now, but certainly does not shy away from anything.

Nice fish selection, the angel in particular looks great. I want better pics, and more of them. Get a camera!

What are you using for lighting?
