New seahorse arrivals
Well teh wife finally got her ocean rider sea horses today. They seem to be doing pretty good. The shipping was well packaged and had several heat pacs in it even for here in arizona.
She got 4 mustangs. She wanted a couple of sunbursts but they are out till some time next month and she didnt want to wait anymore. So Will probably get a few more in a month or 2 after I get a skimmer for the sump which I need to get soon now. Any ways here are few pics of them I just took. Will post more when they posing more. This one is the only one that isnt black at the moment. Last edited by tendar; 02-28-2003 at 01:53 AM. |

tendar,
VERY cool -- I have been contemplating seahorses from OR (or someone similar) as my next project. How large is their aquarium? What are you using for filtration? THey look like they are in terrific shape... Good luck! Rebecca |

The aquarium is a pentagon its around 42 gallons which should hold 6-10 horses with fairly well. I have a sump on it and am getting a skimmer as soon as I find a used one at a good price. Also run a filter sock in the sump also plus the calurpa for export.
The horses seem very healthy but not over active but I suppose they are not any way. |

Tendar -
They are lovely! As far as hanging around goes, they do hitch quite a bit, but will also swim around your tank as soon as they get accustomed to it. I have two male reidis who spend a good part of the time being a fish version of couch potatoes, but you will also find them parading around (especially when they want me to know it is chow time).
