How much flow?

I am setting up a 60 gallon tank with a 15 gallon refugium. How much flow should I have going through the refugium? I will also be running a closed loop. I would like to have a total of around 1500 gph with both closed loop and refugium. What pumps are recommended? Thanks.

Is the refugium going to be your mail sump or seperate?
Refugiums prefer a low flow of say 2 time turnover I believe I owuld go with 100-200 gph through the refugium if is seperate from the sump.
A Mak4 is a good pump rated at around 1200 gph and is priced pretty good for a closed loop on a smaller tank.

You think if I went 1" drains and returns in both the overflow box drain and return, and 1" drains and returns on the closed loop I could get 1500gph? Thanks.

A 1" overflow drain will max out at around 600 gph.
I would go with 1.5-2" drian for a closed loop or 2-1" drains with more than 1000 gph drianing through it.
Just go with about 500 gph on the overflow to sump and 1000 gph on closed loop would work well.
Is this going to be a sps tank?
That is a lot of flow for lps and softies but good for sps.

Yes, it will be an SPS tank.
I should have been more clear, the closed loop will have 2 - 1" drains and 2 - 1" returns.
