Sea Swirls Question
Hey guys n gals,
I have two 1" SS's with the barbed fittings. I seem to remember seeing a few post about removing it and installing standard PVC fittings. Anybody know how to do this |

Yeah I remember how to do it...Try and keep everything lined up just like it is you can use finger nail polish to mark it if you want. Take a rag and put around the output (bottom piece) then put a vice grip or channel lock pliers on the out put so it doesnt move while you are unscrewing the barb. The barb has teflon tape as well as a silicone seal so clean it real good and reapply the teflon/silicone as it was. When trying to hold the output and unscrewing the barb you might want to take off the unscrewing cap, just be careful cuz then you are clamping onto threads which if you booger them up you wont get the cap back on....HTH, if you get into a real jam you can always call Ed @ SS he is the one who walked me through it. |
