I have a 75 gallon tank that hasn't been stup for years. I plan on setting it up and would like to eventually have it as a reef tank. Does anyone have any recommendations on what type of filtration system I should purchase?

I think most of us are now using a Sump/refugium type. It basically is a second tank filled with Macro Algae that water flows thru for filtration. Also the Live rock will provide the Bioligical filter. Then get yourself a really good skimmer and maybe some carbon every once in a while and Presto all done!!!
Best part is this method is pretty cheap, much less tehn buying a Wet/Dry and works better IMO too... |
