alternatives to southdown sand
well i have done alot of searching to no avail,so whats the alternative.
seems as all the searches i have done the only brand of substrate that keeps coming up is SOUTHDOWN. do i use argonite or what for my DSB.this may seem like a silly question but at the prices at the LFS i have to get it right the first time. anyone care to post what brand of substrate you are using. THANKS IN ADVANCE MIKE H |

Check out pure arogonite. I talked to Jim the other day about getting some shipped out to the west coast as HD won't do it. He makes a good deal with it. It all comes out of the same place and is only distributed by a few places here in the states. Good luck with it. If you have more people in your area that want it, he can ship out a pallet of the stuff (70 bags) for a lot less.
