    Durso standpipes

Do you have these and if so are you happy with the way they work. Any problems that need to be dealt with or mods to make right up front.
In this hobby patience is not a virtue,,,,,its mandatory.

All of the ones I have used and put together were very simple and required very little tuning once installed. The key is making sure the pipe can pull enough air, I wouldn't bother with trying to put in any kind of valve to control the air flow.

They work quite well at quieting down the overflow box. You do need to make sure they get enough air as Reefland indicated, however I have found that installing an adjustable valve in the standpipe cap gives you more control over the air flow and eliminates the "whistle" you get sometimes when you just put a hole in the cap.

I ended up adding adjustable air valves to the durso I had without them and it helped alot when i was running them I'm going to be doing a different duro design shortly on my acrylic.
