Protein Skimmer for 20 Gallon

Hi everybody. I have been a long time freshwater hobbyist and going to be starting up a 20 gallon fish and reef tank. I was wondering which would be a better skimmer to use. The Aqua C Remora Hang on or a Seaclone 100 or if you know a better one for this set up I would really appreciate the advice. Thanks.

Hi John T and Welcome to Reefland!

The Aqua C is a MUCH better skimmer than the Seaclone; in fact the AquaC is probably the best skimmer available for small reef tanks that require a hang-on skimmer.

Regards,
Scott Z.

CPR ase typically not recommended by folks; AquaC's are much more effecient/effective skimmers. CPR's can be but only after modifications. I have used AquaC's products and have read many posts regarding CPR Bakpaks; this is why I am recommending the AquaC.

Talking skimmer - learn from a beginner : )

The aqua c retains microbubbles quite well so if you can afford it definitely go with a better brand than seaclone. Good luck with your tank and never ever grab anything with bristles with yor bars hands!!!
