i diy'ed a counter current air driven skimmer that is feed its water supply directly from my surface skimmer.the difference was noticable with in a couple of days. hope you have better luck than i did with this type of skimmer.
i was trying to skimmer 110 gallons of water volume though,so it may have been to small for my system.
Geez... take it easy. Your post kinda read like a statement, not a question. You can run 2, 3, 4,.... however many skimmers you want. As far as break in, usually that is only a day maybe 2. If your skimmer is not pulling gunk out, chances are it is not adjusted properly.
Make sure the skimmer is adjusted and operating properly. Can you see any foam in the riser tube?
it started making some skimmate. its pretty wet but at least its something i think it will be ok now its very sensitive to feeding or anything for that matter i will just wait and see thanks for the replies![]()

As you mentioned, it can sometimes take a week or more before a skimmer "breaks in" and starts producing. If after the break in period your AquaC is still producing a very wet skimmate, consider raising the collection cup a bit.
