cpr bak pak

is there a way to silence the sound on this skimmer? becuase its way too loud.

Sometimes. Where the airline attaches to the pump, you can drill a hole in the bottom of an old film can, fill it with filter floss and then put it over the air inlet. It acts like a muffler.

Like this.... It is hard to see in the picture, but I have a film can on top of the solid air intake tubing on my Nautilis Skimmer...

Not much more to explain... Drill a hole in the bottom of a black plastic film can. Fill the can with cotton floss, filter floss, cotton balls... put the air inlet tube into the hole you drilled. Presto!!!

Just make sure you drill the hole the same size as the air inlet tube.
