I don't think foam would be your best choice. I would go with a baffle system, you know the one, under, over. under type configuration. That seems to work best.
oh y ai have that already... its just that perhaps i did too little of the baffle system? 1 series of under, over, under.. i was thinking that maybe another series would help, but its too late now, since the sump has gone under way.. its just that sometimes at lower sump levels the micro bubbles is kinda bad.. but w/ more volume its not too bad..
but so i was thinking maybe i can get a foam block and slip it in to reduce it even more..
thanks![]()
I also used the "eggcrate" from HD just under the surface. The series of squares seems to trap some of the bubbles.
so would i just slide the egg crate in like some cartridge??
ehhe and the bubbles will get trapped? seems like a try, since i scared foam will just collect detrius and stuff
THe crate needs to be parallel to the water surface... Like a plate foating on the top of the water.
We were having the same problem. My husband took some egg-crate and made a shelf where the overflow returns to the refugium. Them we put a thin layer of bio balls to break up some of the water. Seems to be doing good so far. I have also ordered a couple bags of chemi-pure to throw on top of the bio balls. Maybe this will help your problem too!
