What your think about AquaClear 500
the AquaClear 500 have a foam with it sould i remove it?

I would. I used to run the 300's for water movement. Since I added the sump I took them out. Just use it for Carbon or with nothing in it to move the water.

I have an Aquaclear as my main filter for a 2ft marine tank, i dont use the foam that comes with it, i just use normal filter wool, and just change it once a week or 2.
I also filled mine with bio balls, and took out the carbon. seems to be going fine  got an anemone , 6 fish in there, and some live rock with some tree coral, a mushroom, and a few other things. |
