I used arag alive to cycle my 90 and it cut the cycling time in half. Just make sure that you check the expiration date on the bag before you buy it- it does have a year shelf life. I highly recommend it. I wish that it was available when I cycled my 200 gal tank.

I put 60 lbs of aragalive in my 75 gal and my ammonia levels are over .08. i s this normal? whaen should i start seeing some reduction in ammo levels? My tank has had the sand in it for about 4 days. did i get some bad stuff? it was not set to expire until 10-04. thanks

I put my 80 lbs of Arag Alive in at the same time as I put in my 50 lbs of live rock (that is the amount I started out with, since have added more) and it cycled out in 2 weeks. The last one I set up w/o Arag Alive took over a month or so to cycle out. Waiting sucks!
