i purchased a red sea deluxe skimmer about 3 months ago. everything was fine until today. i did a water change of only 5 gals and now the skimmer pumps so much foam it fills collection cup full of water in 2 hours.

i have shut the water flow valve all the way and still pumps the foam/water. i have not cleaned it recently and it has already broke in. has anyone had this same problem? if so what can be done?

it did run itself dry for some reason a few weeks ago, but seemed to run fine when i noticed it was not pumping water.

also does anyone know where i can order parts for it incase somethign broke inside?
