Super Reef Devil Deluxe

I just got a super reef devil deluxe ETS skimmer anyone have one and any tips? Been running for 5 days and no skimate but impressive foam. Me impatient? It came with a CA1800 pump I have it in sump.
Thanks

Hi Stagefright13, Welcome to Reefland!

You should give the skimmer a couple of weeks before you get too worried. If the skimmer is foaming good, it will eventually work it's way up the riser tube and produce skimmate.

Regards,
Scott Z.

Woohoo! Got home today and got skimate and foam over the top! Gotta back that puppy down some... Got like a 1/4 inch in the cup of med dark green. Now for the tweaking.
I hope the rumour isin't true that a true reefer must drink a shot of his first skimate to appease the Skimmer gods!!

Your right that isn't true. You hva to drink the entire cup of skimmate.

Re: Super Reef Devil Deluxe

Wow this is so old but... The Super Reef Devil Deluxe works fine after many years. I just the other day bought another Mag 700. The Catalina died fast. This is the second pondmaster I bought. The first one snapped 2 of the plastic studs off trying to open it. I just wanted to clean the thing.

So be careful...

GREAT pump but the studs snapped off just trying to loosen the screws. I hate to say it but the first one hit the trash bin. On number 2 now and hope it doesn't self destruct when I need to clean it.
