got a refuge
PRO 18" Hang On Refugium
· 18"L x 12"H x 4"W how does this work? i know i need a power head to pump the water in but were would the water go out on the right side. and if so to it have to be above the water leve or can it go in to the tank water level? |

My concern would be having any pump that pushes water out of the tank, because if that return pipe gets blocked, or there is an imbalance in the return water flow versus the pump speed, you'll end up overflowing the box and making your carpet wet. I'd much rather see a siphon/overflow setup with a return pump - that way the siphon will stop when the water level is equal to the tank level, and the setup would be fail safe. Steve |
