    Oceanic sea salt?

Anyone seen/used this stuff? They sell a 90gal. mix bucket for $27. Just wondering if someone uses/used this stuff. I might experiment with it next time instead of IO.

I have not used it but do know that it is fairly new. Be cautious when switching salts, it can sometimes cuase problems so make your your switch is very gradual.

I am starting up a new tank, so I don't have to deal with switching salt brands. I am using the Oceanic salt, but so far only to cure live rock. It does mix up fast and dissolves completely. Ask again in six months. The Oceanic salt is too new for anyone to really know how it will perform.

thats what i figured, seems like too new a product for anyone to know about. i'll probably just get the 5 gallon bucket of IO (200gal mix?). I usually just buy the 50 gal bags, but after a while, it starts to clump from moisture. thanks for the replies.

    Wink

So far I've not heard any bad reports about it. I've talked to a number who switched to it because of the recent problems with IO. I personally use kent.
