cpr bak pak

my bak pak doesnt seem to be foaming up that good... could my tank just be clean? does anyone have any suggestions on how high the collection cup should be, and how open should the air valve be? thanks

What kind of bak pak an 2 or 2r? i have a 2r and i keep my cup about 1/8 inch into the bubbles

Hey reefer, have you put a PH in your tank yet? Maybe you need more water circulation if you only have the bak-pak. Just a thought ya know? It probably couldn't hurt.

so if i put in another powerhead, the cpr bak pak r2 will take out more foam? cool

hey leddy how far is your air valve open? and how high do you usually put your collection cup?

Reefer , remember there hass to be something for the skimmer to remove in order for it to produce foam. You have a rather light bio load, maybe there is just nothing there. Also sometimes skimmers will not produce any skimmate for a while, then all of sudden... POW! All kinds of gunk gets released.
