T3/t4

I currently use the T3(800+ gph @ 4 feet) velocity for my protein skimmer.
It is near immpossible to hear it. That is why the lable says, " THE WORLD'S QUITEIST MAGNECTIC DRIVE PUMP!) It is also more powerfull and more reliable than some of the pumps out there.

I use the T4(1000+ gph @ 4 feet) to run my calcium reactor, I also have to struggle to hear this one too.

In fact both pumps can be run without water and you can still barely hear them. They are really good pumps, But I would check on the price of the T1, because my T4 only cost me $179.99

They also have the capability to pump water up 24+ feet.

I think you would be happy with the "Velocity" series

Hope I helped in any way.

Yes, they are quiet. BUT, they do add an extaordinary amount of heat to the water. More so than most of the others out there. This may not present a problem for you but it is something to take into consideration.
