Lightbulb Is this enough water movement?

HI, I'm setting up a new 55g tank and plan, in the future on putting in live rock, corals, and some fish. I have a aqua clear 75 sump which will hold my skimmer w/ maxijet 1200 pump(290 ghp) and the quiet one 3000(780 gph). In my return line I will use a ball valve to control flow. In my tank, I'm using the aquaclear 402(270 ghp) and my magnum 350. Is this enough to support the type of system I want to have? Or do I need to add another power head?

Hi cmaria, Welcome to Reefland!

I think that will be a decent amount of flow for some soft and hard corals with some fish. If not, you can always add another powerhead.

Decent flow as Scott said. But.... and there is always a but, I would go with Maxi-Jets for your powerheads. I have been running the same 1200's for 2+ years on a Red Sea Wavemaker and have never had a failure. Great PH's in my opinion!!

I second the maxijet for powerheads, I love mine and they have never given me any problems
