Question Need Heater advice plz

Maybe I am missing the information somehow, or maybe everyone just seems to think it's not important.. but I have 3 new tanks in the "process" of being set up, and I have not yet purchased heaters for them. I can't seem to find any good information about which kind of heater is best for reefs.

The three tanks are a 90, an 80 acrylic, and a 50..... the 90 at least will have a sump/refugium, but I don't know yet about the other two, depends on what I can work out with the cabinets.

Can anyone recommend brands, or styles of heaters that work best with reef tanks? Or at the very least, tell me which ones NOT to get, lol... then at least I will be eliminating the heartbreaks.
Thanks to all for looking.

I know, probably dumb questions, but I want to be sure before I put anything in there that might care about the temp.

I have a 200w Ebo-Jager heater lying flat on the bottom of my sump. I do not have a heater in my display tank.

If you are going to use a sump, that is the place for the heater; after all that is one of the pluses of using a sump.

I too use Ebo-Jager and despite what they recommend, use them totally submersed. I use them in my sump where there is plenty of water flow and I use 2 of them just in case one fails.

Ok, so it would be better to have say... 2 150w heaters than 1 300w? Or do you mean you use 2 of the larger size heaters just in case? I have 3 tanks going up soon, what sizes of heater would be best for each of 50 gal, 80 gal, and 90 gal? I was just going to get the biggest I can, but that may not be feasible if the actual size/length of the larger heaters wont fit in the sump/refug. ... Recommendations?
