cpr bakpak

alright, ive been having this stupid bubble problem with my bakpak, ive tried so many different things and they just wont go away, its been really bothering me lately, does anyone have any ideas? theres this sponge thats sopposed to be in the elbow that spits the water back into the tank, how is this sponge sopposed to be posisioned? cuz it doesnt seem like its in the right way, i would really appreciate any help, thanks

reefer, i took the sponge that came with my seaclone skimmer, cut it in half, and put it in the return elbow of my CPR. so when you look at the tank, you see the sponge in the return. I tried putting it inside the skimmer box where the return is, but it blocked the flow and almost caused it to overflow. i clean them once a week, they definitly cut down on bubbles. Both of my CPR skimmers are running great. I have an internal bubble trap in one of them, but it doesn't really work that great. I'll attach a pic so you can see what I mean, the skimmers are in the corners.

i never put enough water in the tank to totaly submerge the return end of the skimmer, so maybe that has something to do with it, ill try taking some pics and posting them , maybe that would help. thanks guys
