2 tanks sharing 1 sump???

Hello,
My wife and I have a 55 gallon reef tank. It's too small to work with. We just bought a new 90 gallon. Would it be a bad idea for both tanks to share a 30 gallon sump with an Aqua Medic Turbofloater1000 multi? Also will it affect the cycle of the new 90 gallon tank. We are starting the new tank with live rock and sand.

First off you have to worry about overflow when/if the pumps were turned off. IMO a 30 is not very big for 145 gals, and two tanks. You will have a set height of water in the sump, will it be able to handle any more?

Now with that out of the way, were you going to use one pump and "T" to both tanks?

If you save your water from the WC's and seed from your other tank and you get cured LR, you should't see too much of a cycle, if at all.
