Wink Lets see some tank pics....

This is a great site and I would like to see more traffic.

Lets see your full tank shots.....
Mine is a little overcrowded but I am moving in two months. I will be upgrading to a 180 gallon that will be in the wall. There will be a fish room to hide the equiptment. I will be starting a thread on it shortly from start to running. There will be alot of DIY equiptment.

I show you mine if you show me yours.

Hi MyLittleOcean,

Thanks for the compliments about the site.

Here is a very recent pic of our 75 gallon slowly becoming re-established after the red algae attack of 2003.

Owwwwww, My new tank looks like dung right now. Its only about 5 months old, I just removed the wood paneling from the room where the front panel of the tank is (in wall tank) If I show you a picture of my new tank I have to show a picture of my old tank.

I'm pround of the old tank

thanks Scott..I'm at the point where I think I made a big mistake and its about time I corrected it. When I setup the tank I thought I would just add about a 1/2" of sand. We'll, as we both know that's probably going to collect detritus like mad (no problems yet) I have the time now so I think in the next few weeks I'm going to remove the corals and rock so I can get that sand out of there.

Glad to see you made it through the power outage. I can't imagin how that must feel to be without power for that long.

Reefland ... nice tank. What happened in 2003? Power outage? I went thru Hurricane Isabel last year and we didnt have power for 8 days. I was lucky because I got too scared and bought a generator. Whew I couldnt imagine the stinky mess I would have had. My brother let me use his 1000w inverter that I used inbetween gas fill-ups. I also have to give my cable co a thumbs up as I never lost cable. We had power co crews come from five states away to help restore power. Thousands of trees blown down. Glad to see you dont give up.. What state r u n?

Goldfish .. great set up. cant wait to see it filled. I am assuming it will be mostly SPS.

So ya'll both are going with bare bottoms. i am planning to do this in my next tank. I plan on keeping a DSB in my refug. The sand will be kept in 1square foot plastic containers, every 3 months I will cycle one out. The refug will be a 125 gallon so the longest a ntainer will be in there is 18 months (total of 6 containers.)

I havent started my log yet but cant wait to use it. I am counting the days down for my new tank/fishroom.
Great site guys.

Happy reefing..............................
more pics......

KY.

Thanks! We went through a plague of an unidentified red macro algae from the gulf that destroyed our tank. Just like a lot of nusiance algaes, no matter what we tried it kept beating us so we took our tank apart in the beginning of May 04 and totally redid it. Most of the corals in the picture were salvaged from that dissaster except 4 which we just received.

Yeah but I still need some more SPS for the diversity of colors.

I probably should move this to the SPS forum or reef forum. Its kind of out of place here.

Just throw in a Orange Monit Dig, if that does well then move on.

Don't worry about the goldfish slip. I've been golfish for 5-6 years on these BB's, lots of people make that mistake.
