Return
Using the Euro Reef ES6 for skimmer, 30 gallon tank for sump, corner overflow....will a mag 3 work for a return pump? It is a pressure rated pump but I don't know how it will perform pumping water up 4 feet or so.

Alright, am I correct that the mag 3 will get water from the sump to the main but that it will be low flow??

It will be extremely low flow, not enough flow to keep a good volume of your system turning over through your sump and skimmer. I would recommend nothing less than a MAG 5 and a MAG 7-9.5 being optimal for a 75gal with the AGA overflow.

Alright I'll get everything in order before I even attempt to set this up.

Found a mag 18 for 90 bucks says it's for a pond though.
I'm trying to save on my electric bill can anyone recommend a pump with the best gph flow with a small amount of wattage?

A MAG 18 would be too much, the tank simply couldn't handle it with only 1 overflow; I tried.
The MAG pumps are nice pumps for the money and the size; I would make it my choice. |

Ok I'll research wattage vs gph and make a decision on which one I need.
