Worth it or not?

Euro reef es8-1 for $327.40 with a Sedra 5000 pump. Is this pump decent or will I need an upgrade?
This will go in my sump for the 75.

I think that would be pretty decent for your 75; can't really comment on the price though I;ve never shopped around for the Euro Reef's.

any other recommendations to research before I buy something?

I like the euro reef cause you can control the amount of skimmate you want it to pull out.

I like the MR-1 beckett driven skimmers or the AquaC Spray Injection skimmers personally. Again, I have never used a Euro Reef so I can't compare.

My buddy has a Knock off Euro Reef skimmer, I can't remember the name, but I know the company divided into two and this skimmer is the "other" one. As far as performance goes he has had some issues with it. And after looking over the skimmer I was not all that impressed. I would call Andy at My Reef and see what he thinks, for your size tank an MR-1 would be perfect, and his skimmers are built to last. Plus he is a NICE guy!!! LOL This is the one area I wish I would have spent the extra cash on, I have a silly Kent Nautilis and it works, but I know I could have spent the extra 75 bux and gotten a much better skimmer!

I recently picked up a Percision reef skimmer and am very happy with it. It a HOT skimmer but its built like a tank and does a great job so i guess i could vote for them.

I called Andy and he's on vacation but I am not gonna discount his skimmers yet until I talk to him.

It would work for a while but I'm pretty positive I would be wanting to upgrade.....plus we arent even sure if yours is the 6-1. I'm still gonna take it for a test drive hehe.
