return setup
I am setting up my return from my sump on my just moved tank and with my cumstom made sump, i was thinking of running my mag12 from the sump through my uv sterilizer then in to a scqwd then through one of those pentair customflo kits, i dont have a wavemaker but i figure with that and my two maxijet1200 then my 110g tank should have plenty of current. not to mention the gravity dropping water from my above tank refugium.
what does anyone think of that setup, see any problems? |

A Mag 12 pushes too much water too fast thru the UVS to make it effective. You could split the flow & use a valve & modulate the amount of water thru the UVS.

It all looks good except for the UVS. Instead of running another pump for it, I would just do as suggested and T off the MAG 12 Returns with a valve; one going to the SQWD the other with much reduced flow going to the UVS, if your hooked on using a UVS.
