Just a thought????
We are going to be putting an addition onto our house. Our 180 will be on the main level and all of the components being in the basement. The overflows going to the refugium will now be dropping at least 10 feet. What is the easiest way to keep the overflows from gurgling? Maybe a trap (like on a sink)? any suggestions???....

What exactly is a Durso pipe. We have 1" pvc returns with a elbow connecting a jointed flexible attachment on the end (to adjust where we want to flow to return inside of the tank)

Will this work if we have two holes drilled into the bottom of each overflow?

Nevermind, I was thinking something else. We also have the return drilled into the overflow. So thats not going to make a difference.
