Red Sea Prizm Pro Skimmer pump problems

Hello all. I have a Red Sea Prizm Pro Protein Skimmer (about 3 months old and I have already read about all the bad reviews about this skimmer but unfortanately I had already purchased it). Anyway, I normally turn the skimmer off when I feed the tank but today when I plugged it back in it doesn't operate. All it does is make a clicking sound. I took it apart to make sure it was clogged but that was not the case. Does anyone have one of these skimmers and if so have you run into the same problem. Right now budget doesn't allow for a new skimmer so I have to make use of what I already have. Suggestions please.....

I have tons and tons of problems with my Prizm Pro. Usually if I can hear the pump come on and it's making some sort of odd noise the issue is that there is air in the intake tube (on mine I can see the tube sort of spasming). If this is the case, you need to feed some airline tubing up into the intake tube to where it bend horizontally and suck the air out. The skimmer needs to be on for it to work!
