Help With Classic Red Sea Berlin

I picked up one of these skimmers (off ebay) the other day to replace a CPR BakPak2. My Question is, this skimmer came with a RIO 2500 pump.

While the directions that came with the Berlin displays a Berlin Turbo Pump with the Venturi air hose that connects to a flow regultor inside the pump.

My question is, the RIO 2500 pump isn't a Venturi type pump, its just a regular pump with no air hose connecting to it. With the Rio hooked directly to the skimmers inlet valve, I get some foam, but not a whole lot like I expected after 3 days. Should I get the Venturi addapters for the 2500?

Hi Kozmo, Welcome to Reefland!

Yes I would pick up the Venturi kit for the pump, it surely won't hurt the performance. I'm not very "up" on venturi skimmers or the best pumps to use for them, but I don't think it would be a Rio. Might want to search around for a better option before you get the kit for it.
