Acrylic Tank - How Much is it Worth?

I have a 60 gallon TruVu Aquasystem acrylic with built in wet/dry that I am probably going to part ways with. This tank is pretty scratched up. It does not leak. It would make a great sump for a larger tank or even a large QT tank. I don't think you would want to use it as a main tank unless you are desparate or are willing to take the time to buff out all the scratches. None of the scratches appear to be very deep but there are quite a lot of them.

If I am going to sell it, how much should I ask for it? I have no idea what it is worth.

For more info about TruVu aquariums see: http://truvuaquariums.com

Cool Acrylic Aquarium

Depending on how bad the scratches are I would say a couple hundread bucks.

Someone could always take the time to buff the scratches and get it back into a reasonable show condition again. Depending on how deep they are... Are you selling a stand to? or just the tank?

Tank only. There are a lot of scratches. I am not sure if someone could buff them all out or not. Most of them appear pretty superficial but it would take quite a while to get them all.

Exactly. Probably the easiest next use - but probably not that much money as in this area a new glass tank of similar size wouldn't run more than $100.

Probably won't get much unless you fix the scratches [opinion] - and it doesn't sound like you want to do that [nor do I!].

Good luck with it ... should be able to find a good home for it.

I just realized this thread might not be the most appropriate place to post this for sale price. I will post it in the appropriate forum.
