I am in process of buying a 300 gl. tank. I will pick it up the 12th of feb. This tank will be a reef tank. I have about 150-200 lbs of live rock in my 135 now. The 135 will be the sump. The tank will have two overflows to it. Each overflow has two holes in it. I plan on using one overflow for closed loop. And the second one for the sump. My question is any recomendation on what type of pumps I should use? I have seen dolphins on ebay and the one pump says it is good for inline and for sump useage. The pump pumps 2000gph at the head. Not sure if these are good pumps or not. Also not sure how much gph I should use for the two overflows.
I think the protein skimmer will be a g-4 my lfs use that on his coral tanks.
He has had that running for over 4 yrs. And he use one on his live rocks also.
This tank should be up and running in about 7 months. I just want to buy all the stuff up front for it.
My lfs store in not so local.... it is about a good 1 1/2 hour drive away. Not too many good fish stores that I have found on the west side of the valley her in Phoenix. And since I still live west of that in a town called Surprise.....
AND YES THAT IS THE NAME OF THE TOWN. hehehe....
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Again thanks....
