micron filter bag kit for sump

I remember seeing micron filter bag kit somewhere for a DYI sump that would clip on the side of the sump and let you attach the hose comming from the overflow. Can anyone think of where I could fine this?

Thanks

Hi Art, I hope all is going well for you!

Are you talking about an actual kit of some kind or just the sock? I know you can get the sock at Premium Aquatics but I am not familiar of any types of kits??

What I am thinking of is an acrylic device that would slide over the side of, say a 20 gal aquarium, with a hole in it for the 1&1/4 hose from the overflow. There is a filter bag that clips on to the underside ot the acrylic. here is a rough diagram.

Hi Art,

That would be prettu handy but I don't know of a kit that is pre made for this? I wonder though, if your using a flexible tube couldn't you just get the micron bag and attach it to the tube with a zip tie? Or are you looking for this to have a more "finished" look?

I'm sure I could make that work but I remembwr that the acrilyc thing was only like $20.00 and since it fasened to the side of the sump with a set screw, there was never any worry about the hose comming out. If I do find it...and I intend to...I will post the info here.

I get the filter socks from filterbag.com. These are the bags that I use:

Their minimum quantity is 10 bags, but they are dirt-cheap ($2 each)!
