Cool PRIZM Protein Skimmer??

I jsut purchased my protein skimmer 3 months in, everything seem to be setup fine. I was readsing some of the forums, and noticed that bubblesd shouldn't be entering the tank? aren't they oxygen bubbles givinmg the tankneeded oxygen? Also i had read that when changing the cup the water would be black, my water is slight a brown colour but not com[pletely noticeable... is there a problem? and what info if any can yu provide for basic care and knowlegde of this make?

I really don't understand why but skimmers seem to have a break in period but I don't know anything about the prizms. Is there a way to adjust how much air goes into the skimmer? Some of them have a way to make them run more
wet or dry. Dry would yield you a darker matter and wet would almost look like tea. There are plenty of debates around the internet about which is better. However you can export the most nutrients is the best way.

Tinker with it until you come up with satisfying results.

If your bioload isn't too heavy you may be pulling out enough waste.

Yes there is a switch to play with to let it intake more or less water. I've been toggling with it, and right now it's at its best. I just dont want to be replacing the cup everyday day muletiple times. I know i need to find the right setting before i can start emtying it out everyday second day to eventually weekly. How often "should" i be replcing my collection cup?
