Thumbs up Help with initial setup

I've been reading the forums here and must say that there is a lot of great information. I'm in the process of setting up a 120g reef/fish system, and want opinions on the equipment as I can't afford to buy it twice. The tank is standard size (24x24x48). I was lucky to find Oldcastle sand and plan on a 5-6in DSB. I was fortunate to scavenge two 250w MH lights from my neighbor (electrician) and bought a Euro-reef CS6-2+ skimmer. Eventually I want about 120lbs of live rock, but that might come a little at a time. I'm going to use a mag-drive to run the sump/return and plan on several powerheads to maintain good flow. Is there anything that I'm missing? I'm trying to take things slow and do it right the first time.

RFL,

Just be mindful that if you add liverock in small amounts over a period of time, each time you add rock you might experience a nutrient spike which could be harmful to livestock in the tank. I think it would be better to add all at once.

Sounds like you have a better grasp than most do in your situation. Keep reading, take things slow and stick around.
