Smile ASM Skimmers

Hello everyone! Researching for a skimmer for a new tank we will be getting when we move. We have an AquaC EV180 and are un impressed with injector skimmers . Anyone have good luck with ASM brand skimmers? The new tank will be 300 gal.

I didn't vote for any of them, you should probably add an "other " on to your list. I am using a Barr Aquatics sk4200 on my 300, and that thing kicks some serious butt.
Sorry for the small pic. It is a dual beckett type driven by an Iwaki 100 (2000 gph).

I've never heard of that skimmer. I will research it though. Thanks for the info. How do you edit a poll?

The barraquatic skimmers are cheaper and have all the bells and whistles of the higher priced skimmers. hmmm I might have found a winner .

That's cool I lived in Lorain for most of my life. Moved to Phoenix 4 yrs ago and had to order through Dan. He had his shop in the basement of his house at one time and has moved. I go back to Ohio in May and I plan on stopping in at his shop in Vermillion. He has been real good to me and my sister that still lives in Lorain.

I don't own one yet but I plan to for my new tank. After researching for some time I have to agree with Charlie and others that this is indeed a very well made piece of equipment. I judge skimmers( of the same type, beckett in this case) by their fittings, gate valves, length of tubes for the price and so on. It seems that I'll be owning one too very soon, or as soon as Brent can make one for me.
I also like the idea that it comes equipt for ozone use as standard feature and it's very important for me as I love using ozone...than the flow meter...

I think you will be hard pressed to find a better skimmer for the money.
