Air Stones
Is it really necessary to use an air stone and pump in a reef tank with out live plants... I'm getting tired of putting the thing back under some heavy live rock so the my horseshoe crabs can drag it back out

It seems to me the protein skimmer would air rate the water fine unless you like having bubbles in the tank. We have that just so our yellow tang had something to play with (for some reason she loves it).
