RO/DI water storage.....

If I made 55 gallons of RO/DI water, how long could I keep it in a 55 gal rubbermaid drum before it is unuseable in my tank? Is their a limit as to how long one can store RO/DI water in an unsealed plastic container?

I don't keep mine more than 2 weeks and it's in a sealed opaque container. It may be good longer than that since there is no smell or anything but I don't chance it.

I think as long as the container you are keeping it in is a food grade container, I don't see a problem. I turnover 60-75 gallons a week, so I don't usually even think about how long it is gonna be stored.

As long as you have a lid for the container it should last years

It's important to make sure your using a food-grade Rubbermaid container as well:

I couldn't agree more. I use a 45g container that I bought from one of our sponsors specifically designed for this but it is not necessary. As long as you have a lid on it and it not getting contaminated you should be able to use it for years to come.
