Heating a JBJ nano-cube

I jst purchased a 6G JBJ nano-cube to use as a QT. So easy to set-up and perfect for my office desk, but I don't see a way to install a heater. Does anyone have a suggestion???

Thanks

Send a message via MSN to Samper
Just put a small one in it and run the cord up and over the top...notch a hole if you have to for the cord.

Agree with Samper. Having temp stable is going to help things out a lot IMO.

I have been thinking of getting a nano cube for my son's room, and am sure I will face the same problem. I was thinking of a small under tank heater usually used for a reptile enclosure attached to a rheostat. Do you guys think it will work? The tanks are small enough already, so I don't want to put anything in the tank that I don't have to, 'cept the rock, sand, fish, etc.

After further investigation, I found that the back of the hood has a notch with a rubber grommet. You can place a small 25W submersible heater in the overflow compartment of the filter and run the chord through the notch. The grommet doesn't hold the chord very well though. Needs adjustment almost every time you lift the hood. Still very easy to setup and maintain.

Good luck.
